Rhizopogon parksii Smith Fruit body 1-3cm across, roundish, slightly flattened; pallid to brownish or pinkish, staining dingy purple or bluish black on the surface when bruised or with age; minutely hairy. Spore mass olive. Spores subellipsoid, 5.5-6.5 x 2.3-3µ. Habitat under Sitka spruce and Douglas fir. Very common and abundant in the Sitka spruce zone. Found along the West Coast. Season August-October. Not edible.
