Pseudohiatula tenacella (Pers. ex Fr.) Métrod syn. Collybia tenacella (Pers. ex Fr.) Kummer syn. Marasmius tenacellus (Pers. ex Fr.) Favre Bitterer Nadelschwamm. Cap 1–2.5cm across, convex then flattened and umbonate, brown often with a paler centre. Stem 40–80 x 1–3mm, tough, white at apex ochre-brown below with a very long rooting base. Flesh thin, concolorous. Taste bitter, smell not distinctive. Gills white. Pleuro- and cheilocystidia thin-walled, hyaline, fusoid. Spore print white. Spores 6–7.5 x 2.5–3.5um. Cap cuticle of globose cells with a stalked base. Habitat attached to buried pine cones by the long rooting system. Season spring. Frequent. Not edible. Found In Europe.
