Psathyrella obtusata (Fr.) Smith syn. Drosophila obtusata (Fr.) Kühn. & Romagn. Stumpfer-Faserling. Cap 1–3cm across, hemispherical then flattened convex, dark date-brown when moist drying pale ochre-buff often with a tan flush at the centre. Stem 30-70 x 2-4mm, white and silky, fragile. Flesh thin, whitish, hollow in stem. Gills pinkish brown then chocolate brown. Cystidia thin-walled, hyaline, obtusely fusoid. Spore print dark brown. Spores oblong, 7.5-10 x 4.5-5.5um. Habitat on the ground in woods. Season spring to late autumn. Common. Edibility unknown -avoid. Found In Europe.
