Psathyrella marcescibilis (Britz.) Sing. syn. Hypholoma marcescibilis (Britz.) Sacc. Blassgelber Faserling. Cap 1.5–4(8)cm across, conical to bell-shaped, grey-brown when moist drying whitish clay, margin appendiculate with whitish remnants of veil. Stem 30–100 x 2–5mm, white, fragile. Flesh thin, white, hollow in stem. Taste and smell not distinctive. Gills almost free, grey becoming tinged purplish then blackish. Pleurocystidia lacking; cheilocystidia thin-walled, with swollen base and short broad obtuse neck. Spore print dark brown. Spores elliptic with germ pore, 12–16 x 6–7um. Habitat deciduous woodland especially on chalk. Season spring to autumn. Uncommon. Edibility unknown-avoid. Found In Europe.
