Collybia lentinoides (Pk.) Sacc. Cap 2-5cm across, convex with an incurved margin; hygrophanous, dull buff clay to pinkish buff when dry, deeper brown when wet; dry. Gills adnexed, crowded, minutely serrated even when young; pale buff. Stem 20-60 X 3-6mm, equal to slightly swollen at base; whitish. Flesh white. Odor mild. Taste mild. Spores ellipsoid, smooth, dextrinoid, 5.4-7.5 x 3.2-4.4µ. Deposit cream to pinkish cream. Habitat under eastern white pine. Found in New Jersey. Season August-September. Not edible.
