Collybia erythropus (Pers. ex Fr.) Kummer syn. Marasmius erythropus (Pers. ex Fr.) Fr. syn. M. bresadolae (K邦hn. & Romagn.) Rotstieliger R邦bling Collybie 角 pied rouge Redleg Toughshank. Cap 1每3cm across, convex becoming flattened and often wavy at margin, pale tan when moist drying to pale buff or cream and wrinkled but remaining tan at the centre which is sometimes depressed. Stem 40每70 x 2每4mm, often compressed, dark red becoming paler towards the apex, the base covered in dark pink woolly hairs. Flesh white in the cap, reddish-brown in the stem. Smell mushroomy or slightly rancid. Gills free, white to pale buff. Spore print white. Spores pip-shaped, 6每8 x 3.5每4米. Cap cuticle of repent coralloid hyphae. Habitat often in tufts, in leaf litter of deciduous woods. Season autumn. Rare. Edible 每 but not worthwhile. (Never eat any mushroom until you are certain it is edible as many are poisonous and some are deadly poisonous.) Distribution, America and Europe.
