Fruit body 2.5–8cm high, solitary or gregarious forming densely branched white tufts the tips of which become fringed or cristate. Spores white, subglobose, 7–11×6.5–10µ. Habitat terrestrial in frondose and coniferous woods. Season summer to late autumn. Common. Edible. Distribution, America and Europe. |
